Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm trees as spectators observed.
Videos uploaded online show the chopper starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the beach, where it gets stuck between palms and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
