US Military Struck a 'Major Complex' in Venezuela, President Trump Claimed Lacking Providing Details.

Former President Trump has asserted that American military assets hit a "significant installation" in Venezuela last week. But, the ex-leader offered no details on the precise nature or location of the target, and officials have issued no additional comment from his administration.

Vague Remarks Offered In a Talk Show

"US forces just knocked out – I don't know if you heard – they have a large facility, where the vessels come from. Recently, we took it out. So we hit them very hard," Trump allegedly said to GOP supporter and businessman John Catsimatidis on Friday.

Potential Implications of a Confirmed Attack

Should a US military action were to be confirmed, it would mark the first land strike since the Pentagon began a expansion of American strike forces in the region to halt narco-trafficking operations that the Trump administration asserts operate under the orders of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The stated objective of the force deployment has transformed into a blockade aimed at hindering the country's oil exports.

Online Video and Administration Statements

Trump has for weeks stated that American military units are poised to expand the military campaign by hitting targets inside Venezuela, a tactic that would in theory require legislative approval.

Online video posted online on 24 December purportedly showed an detonation reportedly from an industrial zone in Zulia state. Yet, the footage or the site in question has not been confirmed by third parties.

An source allegedly informed a news network that the former president was referring to a narco-trafficking site in his remarks.

Response and Ongoing Military Posture

The Caracas administration has remained silent on the alleged strike the former president referenced. Additionally, there have been no corroborating news from Venezuela concerning it.

The deployment of American forces in the region – a posture certain officials have referred to as a naval quarantine – marks the largest maritime enforcement action of his time in office.

Officials have refrained from calling the action as a blockade, but have stated that about 15,000 service members are deployed across the Caribbean and the Gulf, including a carrier strike group, advanced fighter jets, and Coast Guard cutters to implement current economic sanctions.
